The Foundation

Maison l'Arc-en-Ciel d'Haiti Foundation, was born from the desire of a group of volunteers, under the auspices of Mr. Alfred Rioux, to support the humanitarian work of the couple Danielle Reid, Canadian, and her husband Robert Penette, Haitian, co-founders of La Maison l'Arc-en-Ciel, a shelter for AIDS infected/affected children, originally located in Boutilliers, near Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

On April 20th 2000, the foundation received its patent letters (No. 375144-9) from Industry Canada, under the name: Fondation pour les enfants infectés par le VIH Sida.

In July 2013 the name " Foundation Maison Arc-en-Ciel d'Haiti " is adopted, and replaces the previous one.
